  • Karma Rescue. "Karma Rescue takes death row dogs from the shelters and provides them with a second chance by rehabilitating and placing them into safe and loving homes. Karma Rescue is a non-profit 501c3, tax deductible organization.

We run COMPLETELY off charitable contributions. We want to thank all of those who have been contributing to our cause, and wish everyone good Karma."

  • Friends of the Santa Monica Public Library. "The Friends of the Santa Monica Public Library is a dynamic organization supporting the Library through fundraising and volunteer activities. Its purpose is to increase public interest in the Santa Monica Public Library by focusing attention on the Library’s facilities, services and needs; to encourage gifts, endowments and bequests for the enrichment of the Library’s collections; and in other ways to contribute to the cultural life of Santa Monica.

Nature

  • Heal The Bay. "Not so long ago, at a time when Santa Monica Bay was treated daily as a dump site, a small group of concerned people took it upon themselves to heal this troubled part of the world. They did it for those who simply wanted to swim, fish or surf safely in clean water. And they did it for the marine life that was suffering from some of the highest levels of contamination found anywhere along our nation's coastline. Heal the Bay's efforts are focused on Santa Monica Bay and surrounding Southern California coastal waters. Our work, however, often impacts water quality for the entire state of California and even the nation.

That small group swelled into an organization and movement that has done more to recover the Bay's coastal environment than anyone could have expected. But in the process, they did more than that. They showed us that it's not too late for Southern California, that no agency is too big to fight and win, that we can heal our environment and that we can heal our Bay."
  • Santa Monica Bay Audubon Society. "We are a chapter of the National Audubon Society. Our territory goes along the Pacific Coast of Los Angeles County through Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Playa del Rey, Marina del Rey, Venice, Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades and Malibu."  Other chapters.
  • Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council. "The Trails Council has been the only organization devoted to representing all trail user groups in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. Our volunteers are maintaining a trail somewhere in the Park almost every weekend year-round."
