Political Parties

American Independent Party

  • American Independent Party, California affiliate of the Constitution Party. "California and the nation need the leadership of the American Independent Party, California affiliate of the Constitution Party. We pledge to:
    • Stop the undeclared wars which are daily costing American lives and billions of tax dollars
    • Stop reckless spending, including foreign aid, and take care of America's domestic needs
    • End debt financing of both Federal and State governments
    • Get rid of the Federal income tax, and restore a tariff based revenue system
    • Immediately terminate international trade agreements such as NAFTA, WTO, and the proposed FTAA, and stop sending high paying American jobs to foreign countries
    • Reduce immigration, and stop all government subsidies to illegal aliens; no driver's licenses for illegals
    • Defend America's moral values; keep God in the pledge of allegiance
    • Protect the right to life of the innocent unborn
    • Support high standards in education, including encouragement of private schools and home schooling
    • Stop the rape of consumers and taxpayers by the energy/utility monopolies
    • Defend Second Amendment rights
    • Restore a debt free, interest free money system
    • Uphold traditional marriage and family values

Communist Party

  • Communist Party. "The Communist Party USA is an organization of activists in labor and all the people's movements with three main political aims:
  1. Defeating the right-wing agenda of the Bush Administration.
  2. Winning a wide-ranging program of reforms that put the well being of the people before private profits.
  3. Eventually replacing big business with labor and its allies as the dominant power so as to insure that the rights, economic security and expanding needs of the people become the overriding concern of society."

Constitution Party

  • The Constitution Party. "George Washington feared two threats to America above all others, the corrupting influence of political parties with their selfish spirit of faction, and the weakening of the influence of religious morality on public life. On both counts, his fears were well-founded, as recent experience shows. The Democrats and Republicans have squandered the Founders'' legacy of liberty and justice under the Constitution. Countless government officials in the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government ignore their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution."

Democratic Party

  • Los Angeles County Democratic Party. "The Los Angeles County Democratic Party (Central Committee) is the official governing body of the Democratic Party in the County of Los Angeles and works in cooperation with the State and National Democratic Committees.

The LACDP conducts the Democratic Party campaign in Los Angeles under the general direction of the Democratic State Central Committee. It is responsible to build the party organization at the district, regional, and county levels, to register Democratic voters and to encourage Election Day turn out among Democratic voters.

The essence of LACDP’s mission it to encourage the fullest possible participation of all Democratic voters and to disseminate the Democratic message, platform and philosophy. LACDP is responsible to officially charter Democratic Clubs and groups in the LA area. A major source of LACDP’s grassroots organizing is through the encouragement and facilitation of new Democratic Clubs. There are currently more than 80-chartered clubs in Los Angeles.

Additionally, LACDP develops official Party policies and positions and communicates them to the public and to all officeholders. LACDP provides a grassroots forum for the study and discussion of public policy issues and their impact at the local level.

LACDP interviews, develops and endorses Democratic candidates for public office; its endorsements for local and non-partisan races are the official Democratic Party position."

Democratic Socialists

  • Democratic Socialists. "Democratic Socialists believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically—to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few. To achieve a more just society, many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed through greater economic and social democracy so that ordinary Americans can participate in the many decisions that affect our lives."

Green Party

  • Green Party of California. "The Green Party of California is a partisan political organization that exists under the California State Elections Code. State law defines how we participate in the electoral process, but leaves much of our internal organization up to us."

Libertarian Party

  • Libertarian Party of California. "If you describe yourself as socially tolerant and fiscally responsible, you're a Libertarian!

We believe you—not the government—should decide how to run your life, checkbook, retirement, education and family."

Natural Law Party

New Party

  • The New Party. "The New Party is an umbrella organization for grassroots political groups working to break the stranglehold that corporate money and corporate media have over our political process.

Our current work and long-term strategy is to change states' election rules to allow fusion voting - a method of voting that allows minor parties to have their own ballot line with which they can either endorse their own candidates or endorse the candidates of other parties. Through fusion, minor parties don't have to always compete in the winner-take-all two party system and can avoid "spoiling" - throwing an election to the most conservative candidate by splitting the votes that might go to two more progressive candidates (ours and another party's)."

Organizations

Reform Party

  • Reform Party of California. "The Reform Party promotes:
    • Campaign Finance Reform
    • American Jobs First
    • Balanced Budgets
    • Repayment of the Debt
    • Fairness for Military Families
    • Alternative Energy
    • Elimination of Government Waste
    • Health Care Reform
    • Lobbying Reform
    • Immigration Moratorium
    • Education Reform

The Reform Party is neutral on moral issues such as: Abortion, Gay Rights, and Prayer in School. Our candidates, and members, have varying views on these subjects. The Reform Party respects those views while taking no official stand one way or another. We are in the business of reforming government, not dictating what one can or cannot do in the privacy of their own home."

Republican Party

  • Republican Party of Los Angeles County. "The Republican Party of Los Angeles County (RPLAC) is an almost all volunteer organization. RPLAC is part of the California Republican Party and is the official Republican Party Organization in Los Angeles County. The County is comprised of 26 Assembly Districts each of which has an Assembly District Central Committee that is elected by Republican Voters every 2 years during the Primary Election.
These are important party positions because those elected Central Committee members are charged with organizing voter registration, voter information, candidate recruiting, and getting out the Republican vote in their respective assembly districts. We encourage all interested and active Republicans who are good people organizers to run for Central Committee.

The mission of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County is: To WIN ELECTIONS."

Socialist Party

  • Socialist Party. "THE SOCIALIST PARTY strives to establish a radical democracy that places people's lives under their own control -- a non-racist, classless, feminist, socialist society in which people cooperate at work, at home, and in the community.

Socialism is not mere government ownership, a welfare state, or a repressive bureaucracy. Socialism is a new social and economic order in which workers and consumers control production and community residents control their neighborhoods, homes, and schools. The production of society is used for the benefit of all humanity, not for the private profit of a few. Socialism produces a constantly renewed future by not plundering the resources of the earth. Under capitalist and "Communist" states, people have little control over fundamental areas of their lives. The capitalist system forces workers to sell their abilities and skills to the few who own the workplaces, profit from these workers' labor, and use the government to maintain their privileged position. Under "Communist" states, decisions are made by Communist Party officials, the bureaucracy and the military. The inevitable product of each system is a class society with gross inequality of privileges, a draining of the productive wealth and goods of the society into military purposes, environmental pollution, and war in which workers are compelled to fight other workers.

People across the world need to cast off the systems which oppress them, and build a new world fit for all humanity. Democratic revolutions are needed to dissolve the power now exercised by the few who control great wealth and the government. By revolution we mean a radical and fundamental change in the structure and quality of economic, political, and personal relations. The building of socialism requires widespread understanding and participation, and will not be achieved by an elite working "on behalf of" the people. The working class is in a key and central position to fight back against the ruling capitalist class and its power. The working class is the major force worldwide that can lead the way to a socialist future – to a real radical democracy from below.

Radical democracy is the cornerstone not only of our socialism, but also of our strategy..."

U.S. Peace Government

  • U.S. Peace Government. "The US Peace Government was established on July 4, 2003 to bring prevention-oriented, problem-free administration to America. Its mission is to prevent social violence, terrorism and war, and to promote peace and harmony throughout the world."
