  • Code Pink. "Codepink is a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the war in Iraq, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare, education and other life-affirming activities. Codepink rejects the Bush administration's fear-based politics that justify violence, and instead calls for policies based on compassion, kindness and a commitment to international law. With an emphasis on joy and humor, Codepink women and men seek to activate, amplify and inspire a community of peacemakers through creative campaigns and a commitment to non-violence.
  • Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF). "The Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF), which was founded in 1987, is a cutting edge organization dedicated to women's equality, reproductive health, and non-violence. In all spheres, FMF utilizes research and action to empower women economically, socially, and politically. Our organization believes that feminists - both women and men, girls and boys - are the majority, but this majority must be empowered.

Led by FMF President Eleanor Smeal, our research and action programs focus on advancing the legal, social and political equality of women with men, countering the backlash to women's advancement, and recruiting and training young feminists to encourage future leadership for the feminist movement in the United States.

To carry out these aims, FMF engages in research and public policy development, public education programs, grassroots organizing projects, leadership training and development programs, and participates in and organizes forums on issues of women's equality and empowerment. Our sister organization, the Feminist Majority, engages in lobbying and other direct political action, pursuing equality between women and men through legislative avenues."
  • GI Rights Hotline. "The GI Rights Hotline is answered by a coalition of nonprofit, non-governmental organizations who provide information to members of the military about discharges, grievance and complaint procedures, and other civil rights."
  • Global Peace Solution. "Humanity is on the threshold of a true global community.

In the midst of this cultural convergence, we have the historic opportunity to compose evolutionary principles for a more sustainable expression of civilization: a government of the life and for the life.

When our technological prowess threatens our very survival, our species must develop a thirst and hunger for a more loving civilization. Our interactions must cease to be driven by corporate greed or nationalistic fervor riding the mighty machines of war. In the guise of insuring survival, these motivations only escalate more warfare and guarantee more strife. A prescription for the rise and fall of yet another empire.

At GPS, we strive for an evolutionary design for guiding humanity towards a long-term productive course. Our non-profit organization towards a Global Peace Solution will be driven by a determined population seeking to empower the peoples of the world through the edification of such principles as life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness – and sustainability.

Our life to come on Earth can be built upon solutions based on love and not violent reactions born out of fear or control. This is a future that needs to be seen as a worthy investment by national and corporate interests. Simply, it needs to be seen as an investment in ourselves.

We invite you to participate in the foundation of GPS, and strengthen our mission of spreading hope and an equalitarian vision of the world."
  • Los Angeles Sound Posse. "The L.A. Sound Posse records speeches and events dealing with social justice issues. We place these recordings in the public doman/anti-copyright them, and share them via the internet, via community radio, and as CDs distributed through grassroots social justice groups, non-profit organizations, committed individuals, and others. We also conduct trainings at community centers in and around Los Angeles to teach people how to gather sound, edit it, produce audio programs, and distribute them. Our goal is to be part of the creation of a broad-based democratic media."
  • NARAL Pro-Choice America. "NARAL Pro-Choice America works to reduce the need for abortions. Americans need better access to contraception, health care and sex education. But, anti-choice forces are chipping away at a woman's right to choose which results in more unintended pregnancies and more abortions."
  • Neighbors for Peace and Justice. "Neighbors for Peace and Justice, Silverlake/ Echo Park/ Los Feliz/ Atwater, arose like Phoenix from the ashes of September 11, 2001. A group of activist friends from these communities of Los Angeles needed to try to make sense of what was happening. We named ourselves Neighbors for Peace and Justice. Our first outreach was to distribute buttons that said, "Our grief is not a call to war." A Mission Statement followed.
  • Not In Our Name Los Angeles.
  • United for Peace and Justice. "United for Peace and Justice is a coalition of more than 1300 local and national groups throughout the United States who have joined together to protest the immoral and disastrous Iraq War and oppose our government's policy of permanent warfare and empire-building.

We welcome the participation of any and all national, regional and local groups who share our goals and wish to work with others."
