International Activities at USC. "This list is for international
students, scholars, and their family members at the University of Southern
California in Los Angeles. We post messages about activities which are
designed for internationals to improve their English, learn about American
culture, build community, make new friends, and have fun! Most activities
announced are sponsored or hosted by the International Outreach of
American Baptists at USC. Internationals participating in programs and
events are not under any obligation to participate in Christian or other
religious activities. If you have questions about Christianity or the
Bible or would like to attend a Bible study or Christian church, simply
ask; we are happy to help you in this way."

- Los_angeles_cac · Los Angeles Catholic Alumni Club. "This
group is for non-members to become acquainted with the Los Angeles
Alumni Club and be informed of our dances and other selected activities
we sponsor. We are a Catholic singles organization of approximately 200
members of all ages enjoying each other's company in a wide variety of
social, religious, sports, community service and cultural activities
meeting others who share the same values and religious heritage. The
club has members throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area. We have a few
members beyond these areas in Ventura, San Bernardino and Riverside
County.
Everyone is welcome to our dances. However, paid club membership is open
to single Catholic men and women who are free to marry in the Church and
are four-year college graduates or registered nurses (Membership is open
to non-college graduates in numbers up to 20 percent of the total
membership). Non-Catholics in RCIA program and those divorced Catholics
without marriage annulments can receive LACAC's monthly newsletter as
Non-member Subscribers. (For further information check our online

Judaism
- JQ International.
"Webershtein's Dictionary defines JQ as follows:
n. pl. JQ
1. Events that provide a venue for exploring Jewish GLBT issues in a
non-denominational atmosphere, for social, educational and cultural
experiences, with a social action spirit. Consisting of Los Angeles Jewish
LGBT community members in their 20s and 30s, but all are welcome and
cordially invited.
2. The peeps to be with for good times.
3. Oy gevalt... Vas is dis mishugas?
Ant: unfun and boorish
Usage Note: It is widely recognized that the attributive use of the noun
JQ, in phrases such as Partay or Social Action, is both sexy and highly
enticing to the savvy and urban hip. In such contexts JQ is the only
acceptable possibility. Some people, however, have become so fond of this
construction that they have extended their homes and time, a practice that
carries risks of popularity and undying gratitude.
