- Buena Park Police Department.
"We attribute our success in the war against crime to the development of
unique teams such as the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), Neighborhood
Improvement Task Force (NITF), Problem Oriented Policing (POP) team, as
well as teams of officers working on specific problem areas.
We have developed a Community Police Academy (CPA) as well as a Citizens
Assisting Police (CAP) program, and continue to utilize new technologies
to combat crime.
Buena Park police officers generate a significant amount of self-initiated
activity, helping to prevent crime before it occurs. We have instilled the
philosophy of Community Oriented Policing in all our personnel. We have
invested in partnerships with the community and are responsive to the
community’s input regarding police service. We also invest efforts in
crime prevention and community education to have an impact on crime."
