  In 1985, the Oxnard Redevelopment Agency and several of Oxnard's notable families and investors joined together to preserve and bring new life to several turn-of-the century homes and historic structures, including a church, water tower, pump house and storehouse.
  
  The church and two of the houses were built in downtown Oxnard in the early 1900's. The other buildings belonged to original ranch families from the Oxnard plains areas and were moved to their present location.
  
  This unique block consists of both original and replicated historical buildings. For both development and agricultural reasons, they have been moved to this site from throughout the Oxnard community.
  
  These relocated and restored structures are collectively called Heritage Square.
  
  Today, these beautiful buildings and lush grounds serve as an up-to-date setting for professional offices, a visitor center, community theatre, weddings, meetings, and special events.

• Harbor Patrol. "The Channel Islands Harbor Patrol is on duty 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The staff consists of (9) Harbor Patrol Officers, (1) Harbor Sergeant and (1) Harbor Master. All are U.S.C.G. Licensed Captains and Certified as Emergency Medical Technicians qualified to operate defibrillators (EMT-D's).
