  • Anacapa Yacht Club. "A friendly, self-help Club, Anacapa Yacht Club is devoted to sailboat racing and

    The clubhouse is located on the east side of Channel Islands Harbor, north of the Harbor Patrol
    and offers a beautiful view of the harbor. Bar hours are Friday, 1800 - 2100 hours & weekends,
    0900 - 1700 hours during the summer and 0900 - 1800 hours during the winter..." 
  • Association of San Pedro Bay Yacht Clubs. "On March 28, 1967, representatives of Alamitos Bay Yacht Club, Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club, Long Beach Yacht Club and Los Angeles Yacht Club met to found an organization of yacht clubs for the Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbor areas. The leading light of this meeting was Keating Coffey, a Staff Commodore of LAYC; he set the meeting, drafted an Articles of Association and By-Laws and chaired the first meeting. Harry W. Sturges of LAYC was the first Commodore of the new organization, called the Yacht Club Association of Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbors, now the Association of San Pedro Bay Yacht Clubs.

    The purposes of the association were spelled out: 'to promote activities of mutual interest to all organized yacht clubs in Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbors; to encourage interclub support of local, regional, national and international yacht racing competitions; to coordinate the action of member clubs in their contacts with governmental authorities in matters affecting yachting in and adjacent to Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbors; to promote friendly relations between member clubs and cooperation in local racing calendars; to assist in settling any misunderstandings or disputes between member clubs; and to engage in activities through the Southern California Yachting Association and otherwise in encouraging and promoting yachting and concerted action between member clubs.' Throughout its history, the association has striven to meet those goals so as to improve the quality of life for boaters within the area." 
  • Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club. "BCYC is a private, full service yacht club, located on the waterfront in Newport Beach, California. We are members of the Southern California Yachting Association, the Newport Ocean Sailing Association, and other prestigious yachting organizations. We are over 400 members strong, and have been in existence since 1958..." 
  • Balboa Basin Yacht Club. "The Balboa Basin Yacht Club is located in the Balboa Yacht Basin in Newport Harbor located in Newport Beach, California. We are essentially a social club with activities consisting of dinners and parties, both dockside and in our clubhouse and local cruises to Catalina and other cruising ports in Southern California. We enjoy boating related activities on a regular basis.

    As a member of the Southern California Yacht Racing Association (SCYA) and US Sailing, our sailors are eligible participate in various races up and down the coast. We enjoy reciprocal privileges with many other clubs on the West Coast. The BBYC also serves as both a sounding board and spokesperson in matters which affect the welfare of those who have their boats in slips in the Balboa Yacht Basin.

    We are advocates of boating safety and medical emergency preparedness, and schedule programs for both power and sailing vessels." 
  • Balboa Yacht Club. "Founded in 1922, the Balboa Yacht Club is one of the oldest clubs on the Pacific Coast. The Club, with its beautiful setting in Newport Harbor, is widely recognized as one of the premier yachting facilities on the West Coast. It operates a year-round facility including a full-service restaurant and bar, marina and a Catalina Island facility. The Club has a very active junior sailing program, and all members are committed to the Corinthian traditions of yachting." 
  • CFJ Class Association. " Welcome to the CFJ Class Association website. This site is intended to provide information for class members, event organizers and anyone interested in learning more about the CFJ Class.
    The CFJ Class is very active in Southern California with large fleets in San Diego, Newport Beach, LA/LB Harbor, Marina del Rey and Santa Barbara. Smaller fleets are active in the San Francisco area. We realize that the CFJ is being sailed in other states and would like to learn more about where and in what numbers."  
  • Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club. "Founded in 1932 as a sailing club, the Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club has grown steadily over the years to include power boating, a robust schedule of races and regattas, cruising and a number of social activities for both our adult and youth membership.
    Located on the lee (warm side) of the Palos Verdes Peninsula and overlooking LA Harbor, our clubhouse and marina are situated in the most pleasant micro-climate in the area.   • Corsair Yacht Club. "A group of friendly yachtsman who moored their boats in the West Basin of San Pedro and met each evening at the foot of the main mooring finger to discuss such problems as the best brand of varnish or hull paint,and who some fifty-five years later, have still not found the answers to these questions, did find the answer to one of the friendliest, most cooperative and most noted cruising clubs on the Pacific Coast, when they founded the Corsair Yacht Club."  
  • Cortez Racing Association. "Cortez Racing Association (CRA) is a sanctioned Sailing Association organized to promote sailboat racing and other sailing-related activities in the San Diego area. Fiddler's Green restaurant on Shelter Island Drive serves as CRA's clubhouse."    
  • Dana Point West Yacht Club. "Located in Dana Point Harbor's West Basin, DWYC is an active full-service yacht club, serving its members and the local community for 20 years. DWYC has a great Junior Sailing program, an extensive yacht racing program and billfish tournament and hosts many charitable events including the high-profile Volvo Leukemia Cup and the heart-warming Armed Forces Holiday Dinner."

  • Hollywood Yacht Club, Wilmington, CA. "Hollywood Yacht Club encourages the sport of yachting and all branches of water sports; stimulates the building, sailing and racing of yachts; promotes the science of seamanship and navigation; awards suitable trophies for contests; encourages social activities among its members; and promotes the interest of yachting and water sports in general."       
  • Huntington Harbor Yacht Club. "Thirteen Harbour residents established HHYC in October, 1965. Today, over 500 members enjoy the facilities and participate in the functions of HHYC.

    There are exciting events for members including sailboat racing, Junior Sailing School and other challenging programs.

  • King Harbor Yacht Club. "Our Club is located in beautiful King Harbor, Redondo Beach, California. The view from the club is spectacular looking right out on the Pacific Ocean on one side and down the channels of the harbor on the other. We love King Harbor because it is big enough to have 1,458 slips, but you can be on the ocean in five minutes from any place in the harbor.

    King Harbor Yacht Club is a very diverse organization. We have ten official fleets and several unofficial fleets that include sailboat racers and cruisers, powerboat cruisers and fishermen, eight-foot Sabots to seventy-foot sail and powerboats, and members who just like to talk about boats. If your interest is related to boating, you will find people at King Harbor Yacht Club with similar interests.

    Our club is one of very few Southern California yacht clubs that is open seven days a week. In addition to our beautiful view, we have dry storage for trailer boats, boat hoists, guest docks, bar and limited food service."

  • Lido Isle Yacht Club. "Through the years LIYC has held many cruises to Catalina Island and harbors and bays to the north and south of Newport. In recent years Tom Erickson and Christienne Morgan have organized a number of very entertaining and well attended bay cruises for our electric boat fleet.

    Summers are filled with competitive racing, relaxed Friday night BBQ’s, and a very popular “Commodore’s Beach Concert.” Our Junior Silent Auction and Junior Carnival make fundraising fun. We also sponsor fishing tournaments for both adults and children.

    The Lido Isle Yacht Club has contributed greatly to making Lido Isle a very special place for over three quarters of a century."
  • Long beach Yacht Club. " Located on the water of beautiful Alamitos Bay, its docks have direct harbor access and offer reciprocal advantages for yacht clubs up and down the coast.

    We are particularly proud of our Youth Programs which provide our youngsters with experiences in swimming and sailing, recreational and competitive, and our sailing regattas such as Long Beach Race Week, Wet Wednesdays, Predicted Log Races and our signature sailing event, the Congressional Cup, which brings internationally ranked skippers and their crews to Long Beach to participate in matched racing in our Catalina 37 fleet."

  • Navy Yacht Club Long Beach, CA. "The Navy Yacht Club Long Beach is a Yacht Club for the Military Community. Our members include Navy, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, and Department of Defense, DOD. Sailing activities and Sail Boat (Yacht) racing are the primary emphasis; however, the club emphasizes social activities and education. Boating safety is a primary issues.

    Navy Yacht Club Long Beach is a Member of SCYA, USSailing, USNSA, and ASPBYC. We also support RBOC with our donations."    
  • Navy Yacht Club of San Diego. "The Navy Yacht Club San Diego is an element of the Commanding Officer Naval Base Coronado's Morale, Welfare and Recreation program. It operates in support of the MWR programs established by the Chief of Naval Personnel.

    The club is located in facilities at the Fiddler’s Cove Marina, on Strand Way and is a branch of the United States Naval Sailing Association. It is also a member of the Southern Califorina Yachting Association, San Diego Association of Yacht Clubs, San Diego Cruiser Association, and the United States Sailing Association. The Navy Yacht Club offers both Single and Family memberships. Membership is open to all Active Duty and Retired military personnel (and their dependents), DOD employees, US Coast Guard, and Military Active Reserve personnel.

    The NYCSD hosts formal sailboat regattas and Wednesday night "Beer Can Races" in San Diego Bay. You must be a member of a recognized Yacht Club, like NYCSD, to race in formal regattas." 
  • Newport Beach Yacht Club. "Completely renovated and revitalized, the Newport Beach Yacht Club, located at the entrance to world-famous Balboa Island, has created the finest, most exciting full-service yacht club in Newport Beach.
    NBYC participates in sailing events throughout the Southern California area. The club also has complete dining and entertainment facilities for members."

  • Newport Ocean Sailing Association. "The purpose of NOSA is to engage in amateur sports competition. In that context, NOSA sponsors yacht races. In addition, NOSA sponsors, promotes, and provides financial assistance to junior sailing programs and other non-profit organizations that promote amateur sports with an emphasis on sailing, boating, and seamanship." 
  • Newport Sailing Association (NOSA). "The purpose of NOSA is to engage in amateur sports competition. In that context, NOSA sponsors yacht races.   • Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club. "Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club is located in beautiful Channel Islands Harbor, the gateway to the Channel Islands, where great year-round cruising and sailing await Southern California boaters. PCYC Members own a fine full-service clubhouse and operate the marina. We support a broad range of activities for family-oriented boaters including men, women, youths and children. Since PCYC is completely member-owned and operated, we are 100 percent dedicated to our members' recreational needs, both on and off the water." 
  • Pacific Mariners Yacht Club. "Pacific Mariners Yacht Club, founded in 1963, is one of the few surviving "do it yourself" yacht clubs. Our lovely facilities, including guest docks, are open to our members and guests most hours of the day and evening. Come by and visit us anytime!" 
  • Pacific Singlehanded Sailing Association. "The Pacific Singlehanded Sailing Association (PSSA), formed in 1980 and based in Marina del Rey, meets on the second Monday of every month at Santa Monica Windjammers Yacht Club. Members hail from San Diego to northwards of Point Conception. Non members are welcome to our meetings. Board meetings start at 7 PM, regular meeting follows at 8 PM. [Suggest you come to the 7 PM meeting because there's lots of interesting things discussed, and lots of 'war stories'!]

    Meetings consist of awards presentations, discussion of upcoming races and events, talk of sailing & safety techniques, and our 'speaker program'. Speakers come to us from all spheres of sailing and racing, single-hander's who've 'been there and done that', equipment manufacturers, the Coast Guard and other areas of interest to sailors."

    The Clubhouse is located on Spinnaker Drive on the east side of the boat basin and enjoys a spectacular view of both the harbor and sunsets. Accommodations include a Ship's Store, kitchen, full bar and outside deck."  
  • Point Loma Yacht Club. "The objective of this Club shall be to encourage the sport of yachting in cooperation with the Southern California Yachting Association (SCYA) and the San Diego Association of Yacht Clubs (SDAYC). In so doing, the Club will promote an active social schedule for the benefit of its members and their guests. In all of its endeavors the Club will foster a Corinthian spirit and promote the traditions of the sport." 
  • Recreational Boaters of California. "Recreational boating is big business in California! The Department of Boating and Waterways (DBW) estimated that California boater contribute $17 Billion to the States economy. Recreational boating also contributes more than $1.6 billion in state and local taxes, creates 284,000 California jobs, and supports more than 8,500 California businesses. The only organization committed to the protection of all recreational boaters in the state of California is Recreational Boaters of California (RBOC)." 
 
  • Redondo Beach Yacht Club. "RBYC originally began as Palos Verdes Yacht Club in 1961 by a group of Sabot sailors who lived on the Palos Verdes peninsula and launched their small 8-ft. boats over the rocks in Malage cove. The club met in homes and school auditoriums for many years, and was considered a "paper club". With the construction of King Harbor in Redondo Beach in the 60's and the ownership of boats of all sizes, the membership of the club took on a new composition. Members came from all the communities in the South Bay, and in 1970 the club moved to a facility in King Harbor. In 1981 the club changed it's name to Redondo Beach Yacht Club and became a solid, recreational boating group supplying a need for the moderate income boater of the South Bay."

  • San Diego Cruiser Association. "The San Diego Cruiser Association and The San Diego Observer Association promote and sponsor predicted log navigation contests in San Diego waters.   • San Diego Port Tenants Association. "Formed in 1989, the San Diego Port Tenants Association is a coalition of businesses and industries on San Diego Bay and at Lindbergh Field, dedicated to enhancing trade, commerce and tourism on San Diego Bay’s tidelands, while protecting the area’s environment.

    A recently released study done on the “Economic & Fiscal Impact of the Port of San Diego” shows that the Port’s direct contribution to regional employment is over 52,000 jobs of which more than 20,000 are on Tidelands."
  • San Diego Yacht Club. "In 1886 a group of local boating enthusiasts joined together to found what has become a cornerstone yacht club in the annals of American yachting. San Diego Yacht Club's facilities had humble beginnings in a number of locations, including an old ferry boat. SDYC has been at its present location on Point Loma since 1924. Its facilities operate year round and include 576 boat slips, dry storage for 161 boats, tennis courts, a swimming pool, picnic areas, a full service dining room, bar, banquet facilities, snack bar (summer only), gift shop, and an internationally renowned year-round Junior Program. Two-thirds of the members own boats. One-hundred employees maintain the Club facilities to serve the membership and their guests. SDYC members are dedicated to the principles and traditions of Corinthian yachting." 
  • San Fernando Valley Yacht Club. "While our home is in the Valley, most of our races are run out of Marina del Rey, with a few held each year at Channel Islands Harbor (Oxnard, CA). We also have an active social schedule featuring great parties, and run several cruises each year, both one-day and overnight (use the links at the left to see our schedules).
    Our sailors have earned trophies in the SCYA Midwinter Regatta, and in distance races to San Diego and Ensenada. Our burgee has flown from the mastheads of our cruising boats in exotic places from Hawaii, Tahiti, and Alaska, to many Caribbean ports."

  • Santa Barbara Sailing Club. "The Santa Barbara Sailing Club is located in Santa Barbara, California, approximately 100 miles north of Los Angeles. Our mild mediterranean climate allows us to sail year-round.

    Santa Barbara Sailing Club (SBSC) was established in 1959 to promote primarily one-design class sailboat racing in the Santa Barbara harbor area. Since then our activities have expanded to include PHRF race categories and cruising activities. Affordable access to the sport of sailboat racing has been a primary objective of the SBSC." 
  • Santa Barbara Yacht Club.   • Santa Monica Bay Sailing Foundation. "To fulfill our mission, The Santa Monica Bay Sailing Foundation has focused on the development of scholastic, community and championship training for sailors within the Santa Monica Bay.
    The Santa Monica Bay Sailing Foundation (SMBSF) supports youth and adult sailing at all levels within the Santa Monica Bay area from Westlake Village to Marina del Rey and King Harbor."

  • Seagate Yacht Club. "The SeaGate Yacht Club was conceived and formed at Avalon, Santa Catalina Island, on Saturday, October 30, 1976. Charter members were Sandy and Dewey Rudolph, Yvonne and Pat Kelley, Rusty and Chuck Strigl, Elsie and John Kohler, and Olive and Gordon Bishop. The purpose of the Club was friendship and boating opportunities."

  • Silver Gate Yacht Club of San Diego. "The purpose of Silver Gate Yacht Club are the promotion of the maximum pleasure from the use of yachts owned and operated by its members as well as the promotion of good fellowship by its members and qualified guests. The Club shall sponsor, at no charge, boating and related activities for groups of handicapped and disadvantaged persons, and for organized, non-profit water oriented groups.   • Shoreline Yacht Club of Long Beach. "Shoreline Yacht Club of Long Beach was founded in 1983. During that time our club has been awarded “Associate Club of the Year” an unprecedented 8 times by the Southern California Yachting Association.

    We are proud of our new building, approximately 10,000 sq ft, with a great view of our newly rebuilt Downtown Shoreline Marina. Our spacious dining room serves delicious meals every week to our hungry members and guests, offering indoor and outdoor seating.

  • South Bay Yacht Racing Club. "South Bay Yacht Racing Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to encourage, sponsor and promote the racing of sailing yachts. The club encourages the development of racing skills, understanding of, and adherence to the US Sailing Racing Rules by its members."
  • South Coast Corinthian Yacht Club. In 1932 a hearty group of people sharing yachting and social interest founded the South Coast Corinthian Yacht Club. They launched their handmade boats over the sands of Santa Monica Beach and had their membership meetings in ocean-front cabins. The facilities were minimal, the enthusiasm, great. A few years later the club obtained a small meeting room located on the Santa Monica Pier. The popular boats of the day were Snipes and Six Meters. These were launched by crane at the end of the pier. By the late 1930's, SCCYC had joined the Southern California Yachting Association and sponsored the first Pacific Coast Championship Regatta in Santa Monica Bay. In 1961 SCCYC assisted in establishing the Association of Santa Monica Bay Yacht Clubs to promote and coordinate yachting activities in the bay area.The South Coast Corinthian Yacht Club Burgee eventually found a permanent berth in the new sheltered waters of Marina del Rey. In 1966 the Board of Directors commissioned the construction of SCCYC's first club house on Mindanao Way. The club had become a part of the thriving marina environment. Over the past few years, SCCYC experienced several changes, but the club has since moved back to its original facility overlooking "G" basin."  
  • South Shore Yacht Club. Newport Beach, CA. "South Shore Yacht Club (SSYC) is actively committed to promoting the passion and enjoyment that comes from boating. Established in 1957, the club offers its members, family, and guests the opportunity to enjoy recreational activities such as racing, sailing, cruising, and many other social events." 
  • Southern California Yachting Association. "The Mission of the Southern California Yachting Association is to provide an organization for the support and promotion of amateur, recreational and pleasure yachting in Southern California by providing an organization and a forum to foster local, regional, national and international yachting competition, coordinate race schedules, activities and regattas, conduct seminars, and provide training and education on race management and safety at sea." 
  • Southern California Youth Yacht Racing Association. "An organization formed in October 1977, under Southern California Yachting Association, for the purpose of dedicating itself to the improvement of sailing skills among youth racing sailors in Southern California."
  • Southwestern Yacht Club. "Southwestern Yacht Club was formed in 1925 by visionary yachtsmen who enjoyed the companionship of those who shared their enthusiasm for boating and their love of the sea. Since then, the Club has developed into a full service operation embracing all forms of boating activities within the community and earning a reputation for being one of the friendliest clubs to visit on the West Coast.

    The Officers, Directors and Committee members strive to make the Club a fun place to be while upholding the traditional values associated with Corinthian yachting."   
  • Trans Pacific Yacht Club. " TPYC membership is open to anyone who has sailed in a TPYC sponsored race longer than 2000 miles in the Pacific Ocean."

  • United States Sailing Center, Long Beach, CA.
  • Ventura Yacht Club. "Ventura Yacht Club is a full-service facility located on the west side of Ventura Harbor between the Ventura Harbor Village and the Channel Islands National Park headquarters. Nestled between the beach on the west, and the harbor on the east, the VYC facility offers a panoramic view of the Santa Barbara Channel, Channel Islands and Ventura Harbor. Few yacht clubs on the west coast can boast of such a spectacular location!" 
  • Yoyagers Yacht Club. "...In 1941, a small group of enthusiastic yachtsmen decided that the existing yacht clubs did not meet their needs and desires. They were sailors who owned sailing yachts and deeply loved the sea. They enjoyed the companionship of the men and women who shared those feelings. Meeting in Don Pederson's boat yard in Newport Beach, California, they formed the Viking Sailing Club. The club grew and was later renamed Voyagers Yacht Club. The Voyagers are known for their racing history, and hosts some of Newport Beach's most prestigious races and regattas, such as the Humphrey Bogart Race Series and the Hot Rum Race Series.

  • Westlake Yacht Club. "

  • Women's Yacht Racing Fleet San Diego. "The purpose of the Women's Yacht Racing Fleet is to provide opportunities that promote training, competition, and the image of excellence in women's sailing in a fun social environment.

    WYRF is also a yacht club in good standing with the Southern California Yaching Association and as such enjoys reciprocity with all other Association member clubs and affiliates.

    WYRF sponsors races during the year under the WYRF burgee and sponsors teams to race in other yacht club races. These races offer sailors of all experience levels more opportunities to get out on the water and improve their sailing skills.
  • Wooden Hull Yacht Club. "The Wooden Hull Yacht Club is dedicated to the purpose of bringing together a group of people who are interested in promoting cruising and racing among wooden hull vessels. Our goal is to stimulate interest and continuing love and respect for the skill, design and workmanship which only a wooden hull can reflect, and to gather and keep on file all information which will help to perpetuate these objectives, and to take pride in the ownership and appearance of our boats."  
  • Yacht Racing Union of Southern California. "The Yacht Racing Union of Southern California (YRUSC) is a racing association of 31 Southern California Yacht Clubs with land and water facilities capable of hosting major regattas."
